Was on my tour back to my homeland(Norway) and was something wrong with the rear wheel/shaft on my R1200 GSA. I passed by and just dropped in. Within 5-10 min it was solved. A super friendly staff met me and took action immediately. QUICK check. Nothing wrong, only my new tires gave a suspicious sound. Puuuh, my journey can continue😊 Thanks guys!

I never imagined that buying a brand-new motorcycle — something meant to bring joy and freedom — would end in tears, fear, and helplessness. But that’s exactly what happened after my husband purchased a BMW S1000 XR from Motorrad Bayer GmbH.
We rode the bike home on a Friday. On Saturday, it broke down. The engine wouldn’t turn off, and then wouldn’t start again. We were stranded, confused, and deeply worried — and not a single person from the dealership offered any real help. They were cold, dismissive, and took zero responsibility. We were left to deal with the failure ourselves, while they brushed us off like we didn’t matter.
The bike was supposedly fixed. I wanted to believe it. But just a few weeks later, it happened again. This time, the engine failed in traffic, and we had to wait hours on the roadside while cars sped past us. I cried the entire weekend — again. Not just because of the fear or inconvenience, but because no one at Bayer cared. We weren’t treated like valued customers — we weren’t treated like people at all.
This wasn’t just about a machine that failed — it was about a dealership that refused to stand by their product or show any basic human decency.
If you’re considering Motorrad Bayer GmbH: don’t. Save yourself the money, the stress, and the heartbreak. They sold us a broken bike, and then disappeared when it mattered most.

I bought a brand-new BMW S1000 XR from Motorrad Bayer GmbH for €18,000. Within 24 hours, the engine refused to shut off, then became completely unresponsive. I had to manually stall it, push it to a workshop, and pay for a taxi home. Bayer GmbH took no responsibility, just sent me a phone number for roadside assistance.
The issue turned out to be a faulty starter relay — on a bike with less than 200 km.
After repairs (done by another BMW dealer, not Bayer), I tried again. But just 250 km later, the exact same failure happened again — this time in traffic. The bike stalled mid-ride, died completely, and had to be towed a second time. Again: no apology, no follow-up, no refund.
I’ve now been stranded twice, and Bayer GmbH continues to ignore me and dodge all responsibility.
If you’re considering buying from them: don’t. They sell broken bikes, then disappear.

If you are renting a motorcycle while in Germany look no farther than Motorand Bayer. Exception rates, fair deposits and a good selection of bikes. The owner speaks fluent English and great to deal with.
I rented ay Yamaha XTS 1200 for a weeks a few years ago and will definitely go back for another rental.
They are a few minutes from Ulm and not that far from Munich
