I had an appointment at the aforementioned tire service on May 23, 2023, at 8:00 AM. It was for tire mounting; I brought my own tires.
After a slight delay, at 8:05 AM, it was finally time. I dropped my car off with an employee and was told to come back in 30-45 minutes.
Half an hour later, I returned and discovered that the two rear rims were completely damaged all the way around. These were the very two rims that were supposed to be mounted. I informed an employee, as the owner was still out. The other employee who had performed the mounting and thus made the mistake then, quite "coincidentally," drove off in the company car at the exact moment the damage was noticed. After a short wait, the owner finally arrived with a bag of bread and pastries, and I immediately confronted him about it.
A brief note: These were expensive 21-inch BMW M Sport rims.
The boss took a quick look, in my opinion not even properly, and just said: "Yeah, what am I supposed to do now? Just come back tomorrow, put your winter tires on, and we'll polish the rim," and then went back to his office.
After thinking about it for a bit, I naturally went back to his office and wanted to find another solution since the damage was too extensive.
The boss was immediately unfriendly and got loud. He also said that I didn't know anything and that I should take it to a lawyer, etc.
My opinion about the damage: material has been removed from the circumferential rim.
The damage cannot be repaired by refinishing.
To create a uniform appearance, it would have to be machined on all four rims.
A short time later, he also complained that I had brought my own tires and hadn't bought them from him.
I understand that they don't make enough profit when the customer brings their own tires. But then he should have had the decency to decline the order right from the start. Complaining afterward is completely unacceptable.
There was never an apology or anything else. Customers are treated differently. Customer service gets a failing grade.
PS: Lawyers were also contacted.

On March 26, 2025, I took my car to Dinkelmeyer to have the tires changed and the winter/summer gears switched. Everything was done as agreed, promptly and professionally. They also repaired the broken handbrake, and at a very fair price, too. TOP!

Very friendly tire service. We tore a tire on a curb while on vacation. Mr. Dinkelmeyer had the right tires in stock, and the new ones were on in half an hour. And at a fair price. Thanks again, highly recommended.
