I was recently on my way to work when my car started to jerk and sputter. It gradually slowed down, and then two yellow warning lights suddenly started flashing. I managed to limp along to the nearest Pit Stop garage in Rudolstadt. As soon as I entered the garage, I noticed that friendliness was a foreign concept! When the "boss," Mr. Freytag, found out I wasn't a regular customer, that was the last straw! He immediately told me he wasn't sure if he could help me, but he would read the error codes (very kind of him, by the way!). He said he would call me back to let me know. He didn't call by the afternoon! So I took matters into my own hands. When I picked up the car, they asked me what had been done to it! Was I supposed to be the mechanic? After a brief discussion, I was told that the error memory readout had indicated a fault, but this was ignored, and I was told that sometimes a car just "stutters." They had absolutely no interest in fixing the problem! On top of that, I was presented with a hefty bill for €70, essentially for nothing and incredibly poor service!!! ...simply awful and pure extortion! Anyone who thinks they're saving money here is mistaken! I'm going to have the €70 charge checked to see if it's legitimate! I will never set foot in that garage again. You wouldn't believe that places like this still exist today! ...I felt like I'd been transported back to East Germany! ...they seem to have missed out on everything there. At a specialist garage on Breitscheidstrasse, I received immediate help with friendliness and excellent service!!! So, it can be done differently, dear Pitstop employees!

I came in for an inspection with my Ducato RV. I have only good things to say. The appointment was kept, all the employees were friendly, and I thought the price was very fair. Thank you very much, I'd be happy to come back.

We were paddling our East German folding kayak on the Saale River when, due to the low water level in Rudolstadt, we ran aground on a rock and damaged the rubber skin of our boat. In this predicament, we contacted the PitStop team in Rudolstadt and immediately received free adhesive to repair our kayak.
The service was not only professional but also incredibly helpful and friendly. We received prompt and efficient assistance, which ensured we could continue our journey. The generosity of providing us with the adhesive free of charge deserves special mention – a gesture that is not always taken for granted these days.
Thanks to the help of PitStop Rudolstadt, we were able to continue our trip without any major delays. We are very grateful for this outstanding customer service and highly recommend PitStop Rudolstadt to everyone.
Thank you for the quick and friendly assistance! 5 stars
