Generally, the staff were friendly and hard-working. However, quite a lot went wrong during the repair of my caravan.
They spent hours trying to professionally install a new rearview mirror. It always worked perfectly technically, but the plastic housing had a crack and needed to be replaced for the MOT. When they couldn't get it right, they claimed it was a broken cable, as the caravan was "very old." It worked perfectly for five years, and it did during the MOT, but suddenly, during installation, a cable broke. They wanted to replace an entire power cable and also replace the power adapter on the car.
In addition, the brakes were tightened completely improperly and using the wrong adjusting screws. During a test drive, which I was supposed to do myself as a customer and sent out onto the road, I came back with smoking, brand-new tires and completely burned-out, smelly brake shoes that were already cracked and fissured from overheating. The smell was horrible, like burning wood and burnt rubber. When I asked what went wrong, the answer was, "Oh, we probably overtightened them. Why didn't you turn around when you noticed?" Of course, you turn around with a 11.70 m trailer in the middle of a busy intersection on Erwitter Straße!
I then took my caravan to another workshop, and he said the workshop was grossly negligent. The brake cables were completely incorrectly tightened and the wrong adjusting screws were used, which isn't done there, but on the tires.
He also noted that the mechanics themselves had cut the cable on the rear panel of the caravan when connecting it, which is why it didn't work anymore.
I can't recommend this workshop professionally under any circumstances. Anyone who drops off their vehicle here and drives out onto the road is risking the worst!!!
