I needed new brakes for the rear axle. I booked an appointment online and paid immediately via PayPal. I like that service. Around noon, I received a call with a list of defects that would likely prevent me from passing the vehicle inspection (TÜV) next month. I decided to wait and see. When I picked up the car, they quoted me around €1600 to fix the defects. The TÜV inspector didn't even notice two of the three defects, and the third will be addressed soon. I still received the inspection sticker because it was considered a minor issue. I recommend everyone get their vehicle inspection done by an independent testing organization that assesses without any financial interests.

He actually charges more for an automatic transmission fluid change on a Mercedes than the official Mercedes-Benz dealer in Krefeld – about €480!
Furthermore, the service advisor seemed bored, barely looked at me, and wasn't very friendly! They spent ages searching on the computer, and about 8 minutes just for the actual work with the parts! :( My own research: 7 liters of oil costs €140, and the seal kit is €30...

My somewhat older car was due for its MOT and inspection. After dropping it off, I received a detailed phone call explaining the scope of the repairs, and everything was explained clearly. Two replacement parts weren't delivered until the next day, so I had to do without my car for almost two days.
Then I was shown all the removed parts and could inspect the damage.
In short: Very friendly staff, transparent cost breakdown, good service including a car wash and interior cleaning!

I made an appointment online to have new tires fitted. Everything was fine.
HOWEVER... They severely damaged the rear left rim of my Mercedes and simply covered the damaged area with canned paint. I only noticed this after I had my car washed across the street, right after I picked it up. They said it had already happened before. Which can't be true, since I had just bought the rims.
They'd have the guts to admit something like that. After all, they're insured.
