I've been coming here 2-4 times a year for over a year to have the tires changed on both of my motorcycles. The tires are usually not in stock, but they can be ordered by phone within 1-2 days. The change itself usually takes about 20 minutes. The prices are very fair, and the phone support is helpful, even if they don't have all the necessary information. The workshop does a clean and thorough job. I will continue to come here. Thank you!

I was really in trouble and needed help.
I'd picked up a small screw and had a flat tire. Without even looking at the car, the owner told me I could wait, he couldn't promise to fix it that day, and the shop would be locked up at 6:00 PM with my car there anyway. Whether it was fixed or not. So there I was, with appointments. Another tire dealer, after a quick phone call, immediately assessed the damage and changed the tire. From the time I called until the repair was completed, I was at least able to drive off the lot in half an hour. That was real service, and that's where you buy your new tires.
That's how it was with the founders of Reifen Meixner, as I remember it. Now, you can't even call the service abysmal. The current owner apparently has other priorities. They've certainly seen me there, and I'll definitely be spreading the word everywhere. Starting here.
Five negative stars, unfortunately, that's not an option.

I ordered rims and tires from the website. While you can specify a fitting date, I was then offered a different, later date via email. This was easily resolved by phone. The fitting itself was completed quickly on the scheduled date. All tires are registered during the changeover, tread depth etc. is checked, and they are thoroughly cleaned, packaged, and either sent with me or stored. All in all, I was very satisfied.

First, the positive:
The actual tire change was performed properly.
Apart from that, the service can be described as inadequate. Starting with the fact that the earliest possible date for changing my summer tires to winter tires was December 11th, I was then informed on-site that the summer tires could no longer be stored and that I had to take them with me. I was referred to an email that was supposed to warn me, which I never received. Furthermore, I had to pay a significantly higher price than initially agreed for balancing, washing, and changing the tires.
It's entirely possible that everything was legal, but it certainly wasn't good practice. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend this service.

No wonder this place is now closed! Due to his personality, F. Meixner is simply out of place in a customer-facing service role. He handles (justified!) customer complaints in a "presumptuous, decadent, top-dog manner"—there has been no response to multiple written inquiries.
Poor employees who worked there and had to endure it...
